Two Wayne District Court Cases Waived To Grand Jury
In Wayne District Court Action on Wednesday, June 25th - an
arraignment was held for Stephen Abbott in connection with three
counts of Criminal Mischief regarding New Charity Baptist Church,
Morrow’s Monument, and the Senture Call Center. Abbott pleaded
not guilty. His preliminary hearing was set for July 7th.

Brian Hutton was on the docket for a contempt hearing regarding
10 counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Unauthorized
Production of a Credit Card and Contempt of Court. This case
against Hutton was waived to the Grand Jury.

Preliminary hearings were also held for James Rigney regarding
charges stemming from the fire at the Wayne County Attorney’s
office and a separate case involving 14 counts Of Criminal Mischief.
The case’s against Rigney were continued – with no future date
set. Commonwealth Attorney Matthew Leveridge will be the
Special Prosecutor.

A preliminary hearing was held for Tasha Brumley who is charged
with 19 counts Of Criminal Mischief. Her pre-trial was continued

At Ian Dunn’s preliminary hearing on Wednesday – his case regarding
charges of Arson 3rd, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun,
Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct 2nd and 6 counts of
Terroristic Threatening was waived to the Grand Jury.
