previous year.

The tax rate for tangible property was also set at 12.4 cents per
hundred dollars assessed value, down from 13.8 cents last year.
The rate for watercraft and motor vehicles will remain the same at
22.5 cents per hundred dollars of assessed value.
Also during the meeting, the council set trick-or-treat for October
31 from 5 until 8 p.m.

The council heard an update about the construction of the water
treatment plant and the wastewater treatment plant which are nearing
completion. A ribbon cutting has been set for October 2 at 10:30 a.m.
