The Wayne County Grand Jury met Tuesday, May 19th for their regular monthly session and indictments were filed on eight individuals in the
Wayne Circuit Clerks office.
39 year old Roger Blevins was indicted for Burglary, 2nd degree.
Gary Cox was indicted for Unlawful Imprisonment, 1st degree – Wanton Endangerment, 1st degree and Cruelty to Animals, 2nd degree.
Julius Green was indicted for Assault, 1st degree.
Joseph Houp was indicted for Theft by Deception under 10 thousand dollars.
Irvin Southwood was indicted for six counts of Burglary, 3rd degree - six counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking over 500 dollars and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree.
Justin S. Upchurch was indicted for Theft by Deception over 10,000 dollars.
Brittany Latham was indicted for Promoting Contraband, 1st degree and Persistent Felony
Offender, 1st degree.
Jerry Joe Yates was indicted for Bail Jumping, 1st degree and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree.
In a separate case … Jerry Joe Yates was also indicted for 23 counts of Forgery, 1st degree – Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree (methamphetamine) – Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree.
