Overnight Sunday night, June 7th ... law enforcement officers, led by
Pulaski County Sheriff Greg Speck began a county wide dismantling
of gambling operations at several locations in Pulaski County.
The Sheriff and his deputies were assisted by Kentucky State Troopers
and officers from Somerset, Burnside, Science Hill, Ferguson and Eubank
Police Departments, as well as Fish and Wildlife officers and Constable
Mike Wallace. The officers formed multi-agency teams serving
search warrants in surprise raids on seven Pulaski County locations.
Sixty three gambling machines, bookkeeping ledgers and thousands
of dollars were confiscated by Pulaski County officials as a result
of undercover investigations into illegal gambling activities since
As part of the investigation of each location, patrons were
searched, identified, and interviewed. They were also checked for
outstanding warrants which resulted in the arrest of three individuals.
53 year old Larry Burdine was arrested for Trafficking in a Controlled
Substance 1st degree. 28 year old Nathan L. Farmer was arrested on
a warrant for Flagrant Non Support and 59 year old Robert Stephens
was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear. All three were lodged
in the Pulaski County Detention Center. Several additional arrests
