Somerset man shot, shooter on the run (Updated)
At approximately 9 pm on May 22nd, deputies from the Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a shooting at 1900 Ringgold Road. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found Harlan J. Richardson, age 37 of 2001 Ringgold Road, Somerset, Kentucky suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Investigators learned that the alleged shooter, Dewayne E. Peters, age 47 of 1900 Ringgold Road had fled the scene in a gray Nissan passenger car. The car was later located by officers in the parking lot of the Lake Cumberland Flea Market off Highway 914.

Mr. Richardson was airlifted from the scene by Air Methods to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. His condition was unknown at the time of the press release.

Dewayne E. Peters remains at large. He is described as a 47 year old Caucasian male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, green eyes and bald. Sheriff Speck advises if anyone has information about the whereabouts of this individual to please call the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office at 606-678-5145 or any law enforcement agency.

Units were assisted at the scene by Kentucky State Police troopers and Constable Mike Wallace.
