Wayne Co. Grand Jury Meets - Several Indictments Handed Down
The Wayne County Grand Jury met Tuesday, July 19th and indictments have
been filed in the Wayne Circuit Clerks Office.

Bobby Foster was indicted for Fleeing and Evading Police, 1st Reckless Driving and Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd.

Ed Hunter was indicted for two counts of Possession of a Controlled
Substance, 1st

Joshua Leffew was indicted for Bail Jumping, 1st.

Mitchell Lucas was indicted for Kidnapping, 2 counts of Wanton
Endangerment 1st, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, 2
counts of Terroristic Threatening, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance
3rd and Persistent Felony Offender 2nd.

Joshua New was indicted for 2 counts of Promoting Contraband 1st and Persistent Felony Offender 1st

Rachel Pitcock was indicted for Promoting Contraband 1st and Giving an Officer a False Name

Austin L Tucker was indicted for Disorderly Conduct 2nd and Resisting
Arrest.

David Shane Upchurch was indicted for Flagrant Nonsupport and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st.

Lynn Southwood was indicted for 2 counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st in connection with informant buys on January 17th and
30th of 2014.

In 2 separate cases regarding buys by confidential informants on
December 17th of 2013 and January 15th of 2014 Lynn Southwood
and Paul Sweet were each indicted for Trafficking in a Controlled
Substance 1st. Sweet was also charged with Persistent Felony Offender
1st.

Lynn Southwood and Clint Brummett were each indicted for Trafficking
in a Controlled Substance, 1st regarding an April 7th, 2015 confidential informant buy.

Lynn Southwood, Clint Brummett, and Bryon Taylor were each indicted f
or Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st in connection with an
informant buy on May 15, 2014 and Taylor was charged with Persistent
Felony Offender 1st.

Crystal Adams was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st
and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd

Walter Arthur was indicted for Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants.

Thurman Barnes was indicted for Bail Jumping, 1st and Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd.

Kerry Bell was indicted for Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition
of Property over $500.

Gary N Criswell was indicted for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Destinee Duncan was indicted for Fleeing and Evading Police, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st , Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Reckless Driving and Criminal Mischief
2nd

Keith Duncan was indicted for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUI 1st and Prescription
Not in Proper Container.

Timothy Brown, Shane Savage and Frankie Higginbotham were each
indicted by the Grand Jury for two counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary 2nd, Burglary 3rd, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of
a Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd,
and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brown and Savage were also
charged with Persistent Felony Offender 1st.

Jimmy A Hurt, Tracy Kidd, Allyiah Stamper, Jacob Gregory, John Frost,
Alyssa Combs Lawless and Clifton Davis were also indicted on drug
and other charges.

Stamper, Gregory and Combs Lawless for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd. Hurt, Kidd, Frost and Davis for Complicity to Trafficking in
a Controlled Substance 2nd. Hurt, Kidd, Stamper, Gregory, Frost, Combs Lawless, and Davis for Criminal Attempt to Promote Contraband, 1st and Engaging in Organized Crime. Stamper, Gregory and Combs Lawless for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance with 1000 feet of a school. Hurt,
Kidd, Frost and Davis for Complicity to Trafficking within 1000 feet of a school. Stamper, Gregory and Combs Lawless for Trafficking in a
Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school. Hurt, Kidd, Frost and
Davis for Complicity to Trafficking within 1000 feet of a school. Stamper
and Gregory for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st. Hurt, Frost
and Davis for Persistent Felony Offender 2nd. Kidd was also charged
with Persistent Felony Offender, 1st.
